Who is LVI?

We have selected Lane Valente Industries (LVI) as a resource for dealers to help guide you through this process. Together, LVI and the Toyota Approved Dealer Equipment Program (ADE), will provide you a proposal for consideration. LVI is known in the industry as being able to provide a turn key solution to dealerships for EV-readiness, from planning through installation, which Toyota believes is a valuable and efficient approach. However, dealers are not required to use LVI for charger installation and may choose to retain their own qualified, licensed electrician / EV charger installation company.

Are all chargers pretty much the same?

The simple answer is NO.

Level 2 and Level 3 Smart Chargers Certain chargers have enhanced capabilities that can give your dealership control over how and when to offer convenient, fast, safe, and reliable electric car charging to employees, customers, and the general public. Specific features include:

• Networked charging location on/off capability

• Paid vs. free charging controls

• Dual charge ports for multiple vehicles charging

• Alerts for when charging is complete

As you consider your dealership’s charging options, know that Toyota has gone to great lengths to select BEV chargers for our program that are both very reliable and feature rich. Toyota has negotiated special pricing and more robust warranties for you as part of this offering as well.

How will ADE and LVI know how many chargers I need?

We understand that each dealership is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all solution for charging infrastructure. That’s why we have partnered with an industry-leading EV installation company, Lane Valente Industries (LVI). They have been selected by Toyota as the integrator of choice because of their expertise and capabilities to perform installations at dealerships.

STEP 1: ON-SITE ASSESSMENT

Lane Valente Industries (LVI) will evaluate each dealer’s BEV readiness, explain program requirements, and discuss how dealers will want to engage customers regarding BEV charging. LVI will look for solutions to “future proof” your facility for continued BEV growth.

STEP 2: PROPOSAL

Following the on-site assessment, ADE will provide each dealer a comprehensive proposal for the preparation and installation of agreed upon BEV equipment.

STEP 3: ORDERING & PERMITTING

Upon dealer approval, ADE will order the specified equipment and LVI will start the permit process. ADE will coordinate the permit approvals, equipment delivery, and installation scheduling to ensure timely completion.

STEP 4: INSTALLATION & BILLING

LVI will install the equipment, and ADE will bill per each dealer’s preferred billing method.

Why should I consider a Level 3 DC Fast Charger even though they require a larger investment?

Certain chargers have enhanced capabilities that can give your dealership control on how and when to offer convenient, fast, safe and reliable electric car charging to employees, customers and the general public.

Level 3 chargers, such as the networked, CPE250, CPE250 DUAL, and the HCSD40 provide a fast-charging feature which takes a depleted battery to 50% state of charge in under 0.5 hours. Depending on your dealership's location, this option could be a revenue generator for travelers in need of a charging station.
